Before founding Whisp, Steve Doumar co-founded LiveOps in 2000, pioneering the gig economy, creating a model ecosystem for independent contractors, facilitating remote work and maintaining a primary contact center for work-from-home employees.

In 2013, he ventured into the telephony industry, founding successful companies such as Expert Planet and Star Mobile.

Driven by a passion for innovation, Steve transformed TapText in 2019 — an app for sales professionals to communicate with customers via text — into Whisp by incorporating more patents and enhancing data enrichment. This evolution made TapText a powerful, 100% TCPA-compliant lead generation tool, leading to its rebranding as Whisp.
